Main Purpose of the Position
The Directorate will advance the Institution through alumni mobilization, enhancing the third stream income and marketing & communication. 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have the following requirements:

  • Post graduate degree in Marketing/ Communications/Public Relations
  • 5 years experience at senior management level.
  • Advanced Financial Management Skills.
  • Fund raising experience.
  • Prepared to travel.
  • Good communication Skills - written and spoken.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Valid driver's licence.

Duties:

  • Management the process of institutional marketing and internal and external communications.
  • Management of strategic and operational related to communications and marketing initiatives.
  • Management of budget and resource planning.
  • Acts as spokesperson for the University / dealing with external sources.
  • Management of staff and a team player.
  • Oversee the events, functions, exhibitions and overall marketing of the university.
  • Developing strategies for marketing the University as an institution of choice.
  • Management of the Fort Hare foundation office.
  • Mobilisation of Alumni.
