Pauline Mitchell M.Ed.
Consultant - Organisation change, HIV prevention and alternatives to violence
Pauline originally trained in Medical Microbiology and worked in Pathology Laboratories in the U.K., Zambia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe before moving into Education in Malawi. She obtained her B Ed Hons. and Masters degrees from Rhodes University specializing in leadership and organisational change. Later she moved into the NGO sector and from 2005 to 2009 was the Director of GADRA Advice. Here she introduced a holistic skills development programme for the visually impaired including gardening, bee keeping, current affairs fitness training and a marimba band. She is a skilled facilitator and trainer on HIV and AIDS prevention as well as the Alternatives to Violence Programme.
Her research interests are in reconciliation, organisational change, alternatives to violence programme, HIV prevention and the transformation experiences of groups and individuals.
