Qualifications: BSc Hons, DPhil (Univ of Zimbabwe).

Dr Oswald Gwavava has over 24 years of experience working in a wide range of geological terrains to solve geological problems by designing appropriate geophysical surveys, collecting good quality  data, applying advanced processing and interpretation to reveal the geology in a manner consistent with other geological and geophysical information. This experience has been gained whilst working as a Lecturer and Consultant for the mining industry in mineral, groundwater, oil and gas exploration as well as environmental investigations.

Main research areas: Regional crustal studies using gravity, magnetic, MT and seismology data; mineral exploration using gravity, magnetic, induced polarisation, time domain  and frequency EM, resistivity, radiometric, and seismic refraction techniques; groundwater exploration using resistivity/multichannel resistivity and magnetic  techniques; basin analysis using geophysics techniques; geotechnical and environmental  investigations using geophysics techniques.
